My teaching career started in 2008 at the Multi-Cultural Child Development Center. I have been teaching at the Santa Rosa Children’s Center since 2009. I was hired as an Associate Teacher in the then, Sage Toddler Room then promoted to Teacher in the then, Teal Preschool. I am currently in the graduate program Counseling Psychology, MFT at the University of San Francisco. I have completed my Bachelor of Arts Degree, in Early Childhood Studies With Distinction, form Sonoma State University (2018) and before that earned my Associates in Arts, Child Development Degree from SRJC.
I also served as a board member for Multi-Cultural Child Development Center for two years. I currently hold a Master Teacher Permit from the Commission on Teaching Credentialing.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time at home with my spouse Forrest, our infant Felix, and our adopted cat and dog, Alfredo and Cheetah. For self-care I enjoy being outside in nature walking, hiking or gardening as well as practicing yoga, dancing and camping at the beach in our van.
I have the desire to help educate children about themselves and the ever-changing world around us. I look forward to learning from the children, families, students and staff. I wish for all children to have a positive school experience as well as a positive self-esteem. I truly look forward to getting to know you and your children.
